Now that I have all the original aluminum pieces, I can paint them all together. I'm using a product by Plastic-kote that gives a simulated annodized effect. The color is blue of course.
Sanded and cleaned all the pieces with a degreaser (Formula 409)
Logo is now naked/clean aluminum.
Everything is in place: plastic dropcloth, pieces, and the paint.
The paint kit has two products, a base coat (silver metallic) and the colored top coat. After a couple of thin layers of base coat, things are starting to look good.
